In 2004, as LTSC was in the process of seeking a permanent home for the Budokan of Los Angeles (or what was formerly the Little Tokyo Recreation Center), a group of long-time supporters provided some initial support to help initiate the efforts for the upcoming capital campaign. This group of investors helped to create the Vision Fund.
The Vision Fund was created to provide initial seed capital for the Budokan of Los Angeles to initiate efforts and begin laying the foundation for the capital campaign. Specifically, the fund allowed LTSC to work with experts in the field of fundraising to help create a capital campaign strategy and conduct a feasibility study.
The Budokan of Los Angeles would not be here today, if it weren’t for the vision, dedication and belief of these pioneer investors. All Vision Fund donors will be recognized on a permanent memorial wall at the future facility.
